James' letter of the 10th of July (852892/05) and our telegram No. 568 of the 24th of July to Hong Kong about the pay and establishment of the Indian section of the Police Force,

I now enclose a copy of a despatch from the Oovernor giving the information asked for by James and shall be glad to learn whether a proval to the Governor's proposals may now be given.
